Hello all - does anyone have experience of more than one egg a day from the same girlie?! I read somewhere on the internet it can happen but is very rare and that often the second egg is not so well formed. This morning one girl layed before my very eyes as I let them all out and now she has returned to the nest softly 'growling' (rather like the noise she makes when she's laying) and has been there a while? What do you think? She is very happy in herself and springs about when she's laid? Very strange!?! ???

Out of 8 girls i have been getting 10 eggs daily, for about 3 weeks, and none of them are showing signs if being broody.
It's not to much of a problem think of the possibilities of extra eggs ;)

I agree - mine have been on Tylan so we haven't eaten any of the eggs yet!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow are the first .... shall I boil, poach or fry?!! Anyway, she didn't lay a second one so seems like I'll be lucky to get 3 as one definately isn't laying yet!!! Teenage daughter likes makimng brownies; her recipe requires 4 eggs!! Hurry up girlies! :)
