Title: white earlobes
Post by: northfifeduckling on April 02, 2010, 12:10:57 pm
One of my chooks has white earlobes. Other than that she looks like her sisters. Is that reason for concern, symptom of something?  :chook:

Some breeds and crosses do have white earlobes.  They will lay white eggs.

they look like Isa Browns but with  darker and a bit longer tailfeathers, more likely they are crosses. I was given them by a friend who had lots of different breeds at the time. All 3 eggs are brown but different shades.   :chook:

Don't leghorns lay white eggs? Or are there White and Brown Leghorns?

they are probably Isa Leghorns, that might explain the different egg shades  ;D

We had a Black Rock with white earlobes. She was called Blanche. Fox ate her. Nothing to do with her earlobes, I'm sure.
