The bonhams, as weaners are still, in places, known in Ireland arrived last week. So far so good. No escapes yet!
Thanks to all the contributors to this site. Yep, I read them all. Ye have been a great help to me.
Hopefully pic attached

just in case someone fancies making a sty which has done well so far....
16 straw bales (roughly 2'6" 'by 1') are arranged as attached in 2 layers. I put old pieces of Liscannor flagstone between layers and on top, for sturdiness.
Make opening opposite prevailing wind!
Level with flagstone or slates and layer plastic corrugated sheeting on top, just proud of bales. Tie down with ropes and anchors. Put sandbags on top. Put hay or straw in for bedding.
Prepare to put up with neighbours making smart remarks about 3 little pigs and straw houses.

Hi there langdon
I'm in Co. Galway in Na Forbacha, between Bearna and An Spidéal - out the Coast Rd.
I got the bonhams about 5 miles from Trim! They are a saddleback - old spot cross.
Pembrokeshire is a lovely spot. I haven't as much ground as you, or maybe that's just an excuse.
If you're ever this side, call in. If you time it right, there could be a decent rasher sangwidge.

LOL, Ya can't beat a hairy rasher sangwidge! If I had a Euro for every time folk 'round here have asked when the 'hairy' rashers will be available!

Would you mind if I use the details of your arc for our club project? It would mean "cribbing" your words and picture as handouts.
-
Mind?
I'd be flattered.

Many thanks, you are very kind.
