Buff Sussex X Wheaton marrans pullets. Start of May hatched, so 4 and a bit months old.
Look like buff Sussex but have feathers on legs so must be crosses (I had both pure buff and Wheaton marrans cocks running with the mums). So may lay a coloured egg (Wheaton marrans lay dark shelled eggs, whereas buff Sussex are very pale shelled). They have own up free ranging, strong healthy pullets.
