Title: tail feather gone white

hope someone can explain this matter :(
eddie our lovely wellsummer cockerel tail feather has gone white,
he is a young cockerel just over a year old.
did anyone ever come across this kind of thing before :chook:

Do you mean the sickle feather. Some of mine have white sickles nothing wrong but not for showing,

it is the long top tail feather
apart from that he is a happy man, doing his thing with all his girls,
standing on his perch during the day ( felling tree in run ) crowing,
chasing the girls around first thing when they come out in morning.
the only thing is when you see him you dont see his beautifull colours
only the white on the tail feather! :chook:

I think(in my opinion only) that it goes white cause the hens are always pulling the temptingly waving about feather out and kills the colour in it, like scar fur grows back white on an animal.
