On request of MiriMaran
One question and then the person who gets it right asks the next question
no cheating ;D ;D
Good Luck
The ring-ousel belongs to which family of birds?
-
It's easy to cheat -Google says it's a thrush ;) ;D ;D
-
now you can do a question
-
You can get cream to get rid of Thrush ;)
-
No I cheated so I can't do the next question and I am going to ignore that lowering of the tone! ;) ;D ;D
Have you caught your burgulars yet, Cameron!
-
Not common around here they are about as common as Chough's ??? :D :farmer:
-
No ???Better not!!! Just love having birds in the garden..
-
still not caught the culprit, had to clear up paint and shavings, however i have had another hen added to my flock the past twice they have been moved
-
That is weird - people moving your birds to the feed bin and leaving one in the coop as compensation? Very strange.
OK I'll join the quiz - nice easy one
What do the initials HPR stand for? You're not allowed to answer, Sandy, nor you Jackie ;D ;D
-
I'll ask Godfrey if his latest Gun dogs understand "Fetch it yer sen you shot it" ;D ;D
-
Hunt, Point and Retrieve by any chance?
-
Thats what I'm betting James. When I have been in Godfrey's company I am sure he has mentioned HPR in respect to his Golden Retriever's work outs down at Newsum Lake I went a couple of years ago I cannot do the walk up though. Not got enough puff or energy ??? ;D
-
;D ;D
-
Is it the correct answer Annie?
-
Yes, there are a number of continental breed which do everything required in the field - Hunt for game, Point it, hold the game to allow the gun to ready his gun and move into range, game is flushed then shot, then the dog Retrieves. I have 5 HPRs. 4 Brittanys (Epagneul Francais) and a German Wirehaired Plonker.

Which 25 year old TV programme is to be axed in the near future?
-
The Bill ??
-
Eastenders ?
Corrie ?
Hollyoaks ?
GMTV ?
-
Hopefully, all of them ::) ;D
-
My sentiments exactly ;D
-
Last three yeah, but not the first >:(
-
Yup its the Bill. Not a very high brow question was it!! As for the rest axe the lot of 'em!
-
If you must axe! programs get rid of all these STUPID American Judge Judy and the likes all these that show the baddies how the police catch them All the police camera action.YOU claim the Bill and Corrie are rubbish ??? ??? :o :D :farmer:
-
You don't HAVE to watch them!
-
I didn't say or even suggest you did but they are still screened It costs £142.50p for a colour licence from today and thats for all the American junk as well :( ??? :farmer:
-
I LIKE the soaps I know it's a load of rubbish but on a cold dark winters night I like to sit by the warm fire and watch them. Come the summer I couldn't care less if they were axed.At least they are not protrayed as anything other than fiction. What I really hate are the Jeremy Kyle and the like programs which exploit people of generally low intelligence etc.
-
Everyone who appears on Jeremy Kyle has been carefully selected ...... the thicker & dopier you look, the more chance you have of getting on the show :D :D :D
-
I don't watch soaps but I do love XFactor and Britains Got Talent. Also hooked on Lost and Heroes.
-
Oh Miri and I believed you to be a Lady with taste ;D ;D ;D ;D :farmer:
-
Sorry, I'll hang my head in shame. ;)
-
You can get cream to get rid of Thrush ;)
I see nothing changed here then.........lol
-
You can work out who the ringleaders are in lowering the tone, can't you? ;)
-
You can work out who the ringleaders are in lowering the tone, can't you? ;)

We are good boys and girls ;)

::)No Annie I cannot. I am so dense that the technitions had to release me from the MRI Scanner yesterday I was terrified when it started to press me into shape and put me into the tunnel.I shook with fear and as said have not had a wink of sleep all night.I tell you the good things that happen to Kath and I but this is not one of them! ::) :-[ :farmer:
-
What shape did it press you into George? An Easter chick I hope. Hope the results from the scan are good news.
-
No Miri I was so frightened I had them withdraw the bed and abort the operation I found it terrifying.I am to see my friendly Doctor on Tuesday to see what we are to do ::) :-[ :-\ :farmer:
-
I would have been exactly the same George - I like open spaces.
-
Having discussed the problem with the knowalls of my circle "Get the doctor to put you to sleep then you wont know what is happening is the consensus of opinion but I don't think I dare lay on the bed Miri because I now know what is going to happen .What if it presses me to hard and turns me egg shaped and don't you dare say Annie Ain't you now already George? I am sure its funny to the observers but I am still worried and frit ??? ::) :-[ :farmer:
-
I totally agree with you George, but if an MRI scan is needed to help get you better then you need to dig deep and find some strength to do it even if you are anaesthetised for it.
-
I agree too, if you need it to get well then get some drugs down your neck, have a nice snooze and when you wake up its all done
-
Thanks both I am hoping to see Doctor as an extra when he has seen the bookings and explain to him what happened I am sure he will advise me right.I have every faith in him.It really has upset me I keep waking with it pressing down on me.It's awful it really is.
-
What if it presses me to hard and turns me egg shaped and don't you dare say Annie Ain't you now already George?
George, I would NEVER sy that to you, because I'd be terrified too. I definitley would have to be knocked out first. I do hope you get it sprted out with your doctor today. e-hugs for you and Kath as it must be worrying for her too.
xx

Thanks Annie love Let me explain a little.St Hugh's is a posh (in the nicest way)private hospital in Gy.I didn't know but Alliance Medical have a mobile unit that was parked in the car park.I said to one of the chaps How ever much did your lorry cost he said about M£1.3 On going up the steps one arrives in a reception area and sits down while he explains and asks about any metal you may have in your body Being satisfied he told me to lie on this bed with my shoulder under a rigid clampThis done he raised the bed and said place your left hand under your bottom and place your left hand upon your chest. Now I am going to centralise you ready for the scan the table move forward to the machine and this is where my project went wrong for the want of a better word a nylon bridge dropped over me and nipped me together and down onto the table and move into the machine to start I was TERRIFIED and shouted to be let out which he did straight away and I sat up but couldn't move for shaking it took me a quarter of an hour to become stable. He told me this quite often happens.I left and went and sat in the car for an hour or more then came home When I went to bed I could not get to sleep and what is worse I am sure I didn't go to sleep Saturday night Sunday and Monday I kept waking with this bridge pressing me down.I rang Doctor and he said come and see me at noon So I did and told him the full story He has given me some sleeping tablets for the next 5 days when we hope the symptoms will have passed away. What a performance I would not have believed such a thing would happen to me. :o :D ;D
-
I think you are very brave, George.
-
No Annie love I think I am a real coward it's not going to hurt me but I told Doc I am to afraid to go in it again even asleep.Do you know he said I quite understand We will see what else is available.Lots of people grumble they cannot get to see their doctor for days I saw mine in 3hrs and I'm not even poorly
-
George love you are NOT a coward, and as the radiographer says it does happen often. Its a very unatural situation to be forced and held in, rather like a metal and plastic huge coffin.
I am very suprised he didnt tell you that the bridge would drop down to hold you still, he should have gone through everything with you before the procedure.
A lot of patients are given calmers before such as this but in your case it may not have been suitable because some meds supress breathing.
There are other options but the MRI is more detailed.
The best thing you can do now is forgive yourself for your reaction and forget it. Dont you know life is too short to worry? ;D
-
Thanks Jackie I went to see Doctor I am very surprised to hear these stories about I cannot get to see my doctor for at least a fortnight hes so busy. The Scartho Group Medical Center has over 2500 patients and all the doctors are busy.I rang in at 9am and told the receptionist the problem she said I will flash Doctor and ring you back.Phone rang It's Juliet at the Medical Center Mr Baker pop down at noon I did he saw me and let me have some tablets that worked wonderful last night and I WAS NOT EVEN POORLY What a Ace Doctor is my Doctor and so caring.
-
I'm very impressed with your Doctors. Hopw you get it all sorted out.
-
