It's the Rural Payments Agency, just google 'getting a cph number' you need to look at the web page before you phone them as it tells you the information you will be asked for.  It is pretty straightforward when you call them.

ha ha, took us ages to sort, they were so rushed they wouldn't give us numbers unless we had pigs arriving within 48 hours

Change from SPS to BPS (new way farmers pay the EU).

Gov. Minister promised that this time the computer system would work - it didn't (what a surprise) so RPA went into meltdown as the applications system went manual.

So RPA has been useless for several months.

Maybe they are now getting over it :-)

ye they said it could take upto 3 weeks but if we where getting livestock before then, they would try and push it through

im not in a great rush
