I see the local farmers spreading slurry on their ground at the minute and am wondering if now is a good time to put a little fertiliser on our wee field at the back of our house. I am looking to move our sheep onto it soon but as there has been little growing the grass is still very poor and quantity and quality. I just want to give it a little boost before the sheep go back on- I have been told that 10-10-20 would be the job as the low N content wouldn't cause scour in the sheep.
Have you any advice on how i would boost the growing before the sheep are taken back on it.
Thanks

Don't know about scouring the sheep but if you want the grass to grow top dress it with 33/35% N Now is the time to do it so the April showers wash it in :D :farmer:
