 Hi,
With husband, have jumped in and purchased a cracking view and 9 acres of former hay meadow now LOVED by docks and 2 + acres of unloved copse plus a little spring fed stream that runs through the copse in Hampshire. No buildings are on it. It's part of a farm that has been sold off but we live close enough to visit weekly with tools etc. We've always wanted land to camp on with a bit of work but I confess that original plan didn't envisage a big field which needs to be managed. We're starting our climb up the learning mountain, perhaps with a bit of help from TAS members from time to time. Our immediate focus is making a management plan aimed to sort out the docks with a view to making hay in two or three years while promoting habitat diversity. We're thinking a 10 m wide margin running between the edge of the copse and the field proper with some sections being scythed etc and a trial area of wild flower meadow. The copse - well lots of winter work interspersed with loads of reading and dreaming the impossible - a dock free field! Happy Days. :excited:

Hello from Scotland!
I'm a Hampshire lad, we moved up to Scotland recently and would love to hear tales of life in Hampshire on the field! Have fun!
