Title: FS 2 Highland bullocks (Scottish Borders)
Post by: shankendfarming on September 06, 2015, 05:56:56 pm
I have 2 partially halter trained highland bullocks for sale. Both are castrated and de-horned. And both have been birth notified with the Highland Cattle Society.

Both boys were sired by Aonghas of Craigowmill.

Gus, (the red one), was born on the 28th of April 2014, and Robi, (the dun one), was born on the 19th of June 2014. Gill of Reastonhill is the dam of Gus and Robina 5th of Croc Mhor is the dam of Robi.

They are from an Elite Health Status fold, (through the SAC run Premium Cattle Health Scheme).

Price £350 each.

Still for sale.

Robi the dun bullock is getting really good on the halter - he can be put on the halter in the pens now instead of having to be put in the crush, and he will happily walk on the halter, (in an enclosed track), for 200m and then back to the pens. He was being led by a complete stranger today and after the initial nerves he was perfectly fine.

Gus is not as obliging on the halter, but he can be put on the halter in the pens too, he just isn't as good at the walking on the halter bit...yet!

Both are bucket trained to some extent too.

Still for sale.

Both Robi and Gus have had their blood tests done through the SAC's premium cattle health scheme, and both are negative for Johnes, IBR, Lepto and BVD. (Results came through this morning).

Being sold as store bullocks for fattening, but they would make pets for someone who wanted a couple of bullocks to run on their smallholding.

SFS

Certificate for health status came through on the 31st of December. The fold is still an Elite fold, and both bullocks were blood tested during the annual testing for the premium cattle health scheme.
