Went to see some GOS weaners today just down the road from us - and hopefully 3 or 4 of them will be ours shortly ;D We just have to finish the fencing and get the ark in place - but we have been a bit busy lately because our bricklayers arrived last week to start the cottage and the previous 6 weeks we were madly digging, pouring concrete, getting supplies on site etc etc.
So looking forward to getting the pigs to join the hens and the puppies :D

S,
Welcome to pig keeping - hope you have great fun with your GOS when they arrive.

Hi Oaklands
We hope to put into practice all the very helpful info we learnt from you guys at your course last year ;D
We trust all is well with all your livestock, and you of course ;)

Enjoy your pigs - they're an absolute hoot to have around.

But do make sure there is no wet concrete anywhere before they arrive. ;D ;D ;D

Hi
Welcome to pig keeping its the best thing I ever done and buying my first weaners in was a great feeling. They are stress busters I could watch my pigs all day long. Im now breeding gos and seeing the piglets as newborns is even better.

Hilarysmum, Congrats on the new arrivals :)
We have finished the permanent fencing, built a very luxurious ark, got the water over to the fence, now just need to setup the electric fence training area before we go collect the pigs, hope to be able to do this early next week ;D
Oh yes - all concrete has set :D

Congratulations on your litter Hilarysmum :)

Hi thanks for all the congratulations, actually it ended up with 2 litters. One little lady hid hers in the back of a large ark so that it was a few hours before we realised they were there, and she was 2 weeks early as well.

What a lovely surprise :)

Double congrats to you! ;)

Oh it gets better or worse ..... Dear George who had managed to get himself in with a penful of ladies last November, whilst on his way to one desperate lady, looks to have got our Hilary pregnant as well. So that will be 3 plus hopefully, although at present it doesnt look likely, the original lady he was on his way to when he took his little detour. So perhaps even more piglets.
