has anyone fed fresh peas to their horse?? i currently use micronized peas. i cant imagine fresh would do any harm but wondered if anyone had any experience of it??
-
??? ??? I think the cost would be prohibitive. Try hay or grass ;D ;D eat the peas yourself :yum:

the dryed peas are fab for condition, thought i could feed some fresh peas everynow and again? just wondered if anyone else had fed them??

Like you, only fed the crushed ones, in animal feed bags. Cannot see a problem, although I would worry they would gulp a big mouthful, not chew and just swallow them and maybe choke.
You would need an awful lot of peas to fill my big Irish Draught mare. Don't think a tinful would be enough!!!
Can't say I know anyone who has fed peas to a horse.

I don't know anyone who has fed peas to any animal! However, I know people who feed pea pods and plants to their goats. We feed the micronized flaked peas to the goats too.
