Title: Flubenvet
Post by: mentalmilly on August 01, 2015, 08:15:52 am
Does anyone know the youngest age that flubenvet can be given to chicks, or is it only for adult birds?  Would be interested to know as no age on the leaflet l have.

I've had 6 week old chicks eating feed mixed with flubenvet with no apparent ill effects, though whether that makes it ok I don't know. I just really had to worm the hens so no choice due to circumstances.  :-\

I might phone marriages who do the feed tomorrow and see what they say,  Will let you know the result.

Normally need worming at 6 months old or prior to first lay. We use Flubenvet at that age. I think 16 weeks is the earliest they can be wormed at using Flubenvet , but a 'breeder' I know used Harkers pidgeon worming tablets at 12 weeks. I will add that they were totally ineffective when we tried Harkers and we had to worm with Flubenvet in the end. Verm-X got better results.
