I'm trying to help my maw with an IT issue while only being marginally more IT literate than she is. She has no record of the wifi key/password for her router so cannot give it to visitors. (It's not written on it.) But her iPad has it somewhere, clearly. I've rummaged about in it's settings but can't find any promising looking options. Any ideas?

It'll likely be encrypted in her ipad anyway...?
Check the specs of the router on line..many have a default so you reset it and choose a new one. My current BT router has a plug-in gizmo that has it's codes on it if you physically pull it out.

Ipads are not my specialty but devices encrypt the password so you will not find it. Phone the internet provider and see if you can reset it, is probably your best bet.
I also have bt which has a handy card on the back you can pull out.

It's usually written on the back or bottom of the router...

That's where mine is - underneath - four lots of codes so the one that's needed is marked with a red pen

Mine is on the router together with others - all just a jumble of letters and numbers. I know which is which as it has a Z in it.
