Title: crop feed

we thinking of growing some crop food for the goats,
does anyone else do so? what ones are quick growing and best in nutrition for them.

I grow feeding carrots (or ordinary ones if I cant get seed), some kale and cabbages (for us and the goats). They also get a bunch of branches at lunchtime during the growing season all cut from hedges nearby (and with permission of landowner).

Also i grow Grazing Rye in the polytunnel over winter as green manure and cut it for the goats regularly as green feed.

ta anke that is really helpfull i gave them carrots and brocclii(prob spelt wrong)
they devoured the lot!!
