Title: What disinfectant for incubator?
Post by: egglady on March 09, 2010, 07:13:03 pm
just bought a dozen duck eggs from ebay & they arrived sooner than I thought they would!  The only choices of disinfectant/sanitiser I have are either jeyes fluid or milton sterilsing tablets - I'm leaning towards milton as the safer option - anyone got any suggestions or advice please?  (I need to put the eggs in the incy tomorrow so wont have time to get anything else betwen now and then)

apparently household disenfectants are useless for incubators etc you need a purpose made type.

I have only ever cleaned my incubator with Fairy Liquid and have enjoyed successful hatchings. I hope this helps and good luck with your eggs.

As i have stated I have used it for years in the search box type Click Cleaning .com In their search box type Jeyes Fluid and on the little bottle of Jeyes that appears on the left L/click on it and scroll down the recommended uses.It is not a cheap solution by any means but its very effective.I don't care what any one says judge by results.Read killing the pig 60 years ago. :D :farmer:
