Title: Biting bluebottles
Post by: waterbuffalofarmer on July 16, 2015, 07:09:33 pm
Is it just me or have blue bottles become carnivorous towards humans? Last year I had blue bottles biting me, yes I know house flies  right, has anyone else noticed this?

Ooh a fly question, blue bottles wont bite humans ! Unless your dead ! Blue bottles feed on rotting matter ! It was most probably one of Britains many types of horsefly some of which resemble bluebottles

Not by bluebottles but certainly by house flies. Good to know that I'm not rotting.
