Does anyone here keep them?
Can you tell me a bit about them? Would like to hear the good, bad and ugly and not just what the breed club promotes :)

Chap who hired a ram from us last year has a Christmas tree plantation and tried Shropshires due to their reputation of leaving trees alone. Has now sold Shropshires, fenced off trees and bought Southdowns instead.

Just visited Acton Scott Farm Museum in Shropshire. They had Lleyn cades for the visitors to bottle feed, which they bought in from a nearby farm. They keep a flock of Shropshires themselves. They said they bought in the cades as the Shropshires were such good mums that they tended not to have cades. They usually had just one lamb and occasionally twins and few problems as mums. They were bucket trained and easy to handle.
Bit of second hand knowledge but they weren't trying to sell. ;D
