Title: Shetland cattle for sale in South Lanarkshire
Post by: borderlad on July 09, 2015, 10:45:30 pm
We have 9 cows with Spring born pedigree Shetland calves, 6 cows and heifers due to calve over the coming months and a heifer running with the bull. All have been running with a blonde or a Shetland bull dependant on their age. All good genetically, this years calves by Gillarunna Nocturne and Carn Bhren Gigolo. Regretfully having to reduce numbers.
Please pm or call me on 07908950676 for more details

This is a great opportunity to secure some excellent blood lines. The Gillarunna cattle in particular are reputedly very milky.

We're deep in discussion  ;) Having seen some really good quality Shetlands now, Bruce is seriously impressed (he's never met Rosemary's cows either).........but it's not an easy decision!
There's a lovely brown cow with red and white heifer calf.....but she'd not be the best for milking. There's a fab 17 year old who is regularly handled by Jim's kids and is a real softy - still to calf but easily hand milked. She's got rather imposing horns though so there's the worry about our ginger ninja around those...
There are some which came from Shetland with their big, wide feet - some lovely ones from Cumbria.
So much to think about.......I'd take them all in a heartbeat  :innocent:  :cow:

We were in the field with them and their calves today - they are really calm, canny beasts. Good cows
