This is how I cured gape worm for one of the hens who came down with it. You need about 1-2 garlic cloves, raw, olive oil and cayenne pepper. Dice the garlic clove/cloves, finely. Warm the olive oil in a ceramic cup in hot water. Put the diced garlic into the olive oil and let it sit for a couple of minutes. For a small amount of dose use 1 garlic clove. Remove the mix from the water and let it cool completely, or until tepid, mix in about 1 small tsp of cayenne pepper, or half a big tsp. Put the mixture into a zuzzer, soup zuzzer (I:E food processor) and zuzz until it is all like a reddish slush. Put into a plastic container and cover with clingfilm until needed. When dosing the hen give her about 3ml per time about 3-4 times daily and give her plenty of water. The gape worm should be gone within about 2 days by which time she will be eating and drinking fine.

What breed was it ?

Salmon faverolle, large fowl. Just lower the amount in the syringe for smaller fowl.

or you could just buy the licensed wormer-probably nicer for the bird.

Yep I agree. This is just a herbal way of treating it and believe me it works.
