Title: Some interesting articles
Post by: ballingall on March 01, 2010, 02:03:52 pm
Just having a bit of a browse round some websites this morning, and I found a few interesting goat articles.

This first one is written by Richard Pemble, who I have met a few times. He is a British Goat Society registered judge, and interesting to note the Anglo-Nubian pictured in this article, is Braynusen Buttercup, whose mum was one of my goats!

There is also a very similar article from Jenny White on much the same topic. Jenny has keep goats for years and years, and has written for smallholding magazines for pretty much as long as I can remember. She also was the editor of the British Goat Society journal for a while when I was a child.

However, here is her article on kid-rearing, where she does a good job of addressing the problem of keeping too many kids or male kids in general.

And also, for Langdon, an article by Jenny on keeping billy goats! http://www.countrysmallholding.com/features-goats-when-billy-met...--213024 (http://www.countrysmallholding.com/features-goats-when-billy-met...--213024)
