Title: hello all
Post by: arrow on February 28, 2010, 09:29:11 pm
Hello all, we are looking to retire in a few years and spend our time running a smallholding. We have bought 9 acres of bare land and started fencing ect., got a few chickens and started veg. Planning to breed Boer goats, Tamworths and like to use a horse to farm the land. Thats the plan anyway!

Welcome to the forum - arrow ??? ??? ???  I think you're going to have to explain that one  ;D  I am retired now but unfortunately could only afford 1 acre as opposed to the new house with 10 acres I sold to get down to Central Scotland.  Where are you?  Good luck with your life plan.

Well one took us out and carried all our shopping and made his bed and hoverd the whole house and tonight, a lovely lovely lady bolted her bedroom door and the bolt broke inside the keep, so, I passed a long thin spanner up through a small gap, I tied it to some string and...out she popped...!! all fun and games here...awaiting our next arrival as we are a bit full tonight and thats before me tea!!

No,  very big man was in that room last and he must have broken the plastic pin off the bolt, it was only a cheap one so can easily be replaced, the other guest is here now and they are both going to the same training/interview tomorrow, nice laby's not pol-tie-goose ;)

The house is 300 years old and must have seen some History pass it's windows, we have had "visits" from past inhabitants but they are all still alive and kicking and none have seen or heard of any ghosts or gooses, my neighbours have had presences in their house though. I have had some frightening things happen to me in other places and have seen things that other people have seen on the same night so I am sure I would feel something here if there was something. I am very comfortable in this house on my own, no fear of the dead as the ones still living are more of a threat, anyway, the dogs will protect me :dog:
