Title: Car comparisons
Post by: SallyintNorth on May 29, 2015, 01:28:35 pm
Anyone know how the interior of a Kia Rio compares to that of a Peugeot 207 SW?  I'm looking at booking a hire car.  We have a Peugeot 207 SW at home, and BH is fine in that, but much less shoulder room or head room might be a problem for him.

Pretty similar I should think Sally.  I've been in both and didn't find either of them cramped.

Beware you might not get a Kia Rio though, as it's probably "or similar", which means you could get any car in that size class?

Thanks Womble .

Only thing is - are you 6' tall with very broad shoulders?  (Else it may still feel cramped to BH ;).)

It is specifically a Rio, they obviously have a deal with Kia.  We've used the company before so I'm sure they wouldn't mess us about.

I'd go one class up then, to be on the safe side.  It doesn't usually add much to the price.

We had a good one in Alaska - we'd booked a Nissan Micra or equivalent, then when we got there they offered us a paid upgrade, which we refused. In the end they had no choice but to give us the smallest car they had available: A twincab Ford pickup truck  ;D

Been cheekily sitting in Kia's at the dealer's - a very kind salesperson showed me how to adjust the seat height, even though I was completely honest about why I was there!

So yes, I think it'd be best to go to the next size up.  Another £29 for 8 days, he's worth it ;)
