Title: Why do some people have dogs?
Post by: Roxy on May 28, 2015, 03:27:34 pm
We are down to just one old dog now, following the tragic death of her brother on the road.  I won;t get another dog until she goes I don't think, but have seen so many looking for homes.
A lady who has a dog walking business, was telling me yesterday that a while back, someone who had two little terriers which for whatever reason were not properly house trained, decided she wanted a clean house, so did not want them.  This lady already had 4 dogs, but took them in meaning to rehome them, and then got too attached and kept them.  Oh, and she got them house trained.
Obviously not the dogs it was the owner.  And whats the betting that she has gone out and got more dogs?

I know  I volunteer at a dog rescue and some of the calls they get are unbelievable. You have those that through no fault have to rehome and then those that you wonder why they got a dog in the first place. You would think people realise they don't stay puppies and need training, it is a real pet peeve of mine >:(
