Title: Training Alpaca for Trekking Holidays.

Hi,


   have any of you halter trained your adult stock for use on trekking walks? I am interested to know how long it takes, how easy / difficult it is and if its worth the effort. Is Alpaca trekking still popular?

It is usually llamas that are used for trekking.  They are larger and are pack animals.  Alpacas are bred primarily for their fleece rather than ability to carry weight.
