This is Steve and Kathy. We live in Bulgaria and have been for 15 months now.
We are currently on a steep learning curve of everything from gardening to animals so no doubt will be picking all your brains for help and advice and in return share our experiences with you.

Hello and welcome from sunny Alloa.
-
hello from Derbyshire, what do you have other than pigs?
-
We currently have two turkeys, two pigs, 34 boilers chickens that are 8 weeks old now, we had 6 egg layers but a fox got in and killed the lot, the fox also got our neighbours turkeys 2 nights later.
The weather has been bad with lots of snow so probably bringing in the wild animals for food.
We have a cat, and also our UK dog, who was rescued as a pup. He is a lab, rottie, collie cross and so soft. So after the fox incident we rescued a Bulgarian stray for the garden as a guard dog. She is lovely, has free run of the place both day and night and sleeps in a kennel on the verandah so acting as our look out.
We also have 1 male and 2 female rabbits. Female one has 4 babies and female 2 due any day.
The pig incident currently going in the other thread is knocking us for 6 a bit, emotions all over the place at the mo.

It is always rough when ever you loose an animal but you bounce back. Last week I lost one of my goats and for 4 days thought I was going to loose another 3, and that time was hell. However, the 3 ill ones pulled through and the relief and joy of that was incredible. I still lost one but that doesn't put me off keeping any more animals. All my animals are kept as pets and with the amount of animals I choose to keep unfortunately means more deaths over time but I keep plodding on with them giving them the best of life possible. Keep your chins up and rid yourselves of that damned fox!
