Title: Odd eggs

My brown hybrid hen laid odd, knobbly shelled eggs today and yesterday.   I have attached a photo.  Her normal egg from Wednesday is on the left.  She is a reliable layer and appears to be in good health.  Does anyone think this could be a deficiency?   ??? My small flock of five hens free range in our large garden and the countryside surrounding us and are fed layers pellets freely with some afternoon 'treats'.  The other hens' eggs are smooth shelled and 'normal'.

It could just be age, if the bird is older, their body's start "missbehaving" as with most beings, or if she is young it could be that she is still to develop. Unless it becomes a constant hapening i wouldn't be to worried.

I do get eggs like that sometimes, but it's usually when the chook is slightly under the weather, or if the eggs have 'warts' on them, those would be calcium deposits, and nothing to worry about.
