I have had a request for a large number of fleeces from my Romneys and Corriedales when shorn. The lady wants to have a go at wetfelting (whatever that is!). I explained to her that they are due to be shorn later this week weather permitting and that they were treated with ectofly about 6 weeks ago. She was happy with that, but has now come back to me asking if the chemical will wash out with detergent? I have no idea. Have googled everything about ectofly but come up with nothing. Anyone have any answers please!! thankyou.

i'm still pc-less so can't look things up. What chemical is it? Crovect washes out ok at home but i don't know whether they all do.

wet-felting is using soapy water and abrasion (usually bubble wrap or bamboo mat) to make the fibre form felt.

Have a look on the info you had with it, somewhere there will be a phone no or email address to contact them. Best go to the producers for full info !! ????
