Title: Ram mask
Post by: nimbusllama on April 29, 2015, 06:30:56 pm
Anyone know where I can buy one of these please..... I used to have one years ago but lent it to a neighbour never to be seen again!
It is a square piece of leather with a strap at the bottom and at the top so when it is round the neck behind the ears and round the nose down the front of the face it pokes at the sides to allow side vision but not front vision.... I used it to stop rams fighting but now I want it to stop my Castlemilk Moorit ram smashing several fence posts a day, at least I could give it a try before I resort to the butchers!
Thanks

ive been after the same thing for a ram, we had one years ago, but have no idea where ours went...the only place i can seem to get one it by ordering one from america, so i came up with my own solution an made one outta an old piece of welly and a sheep halter..did the same job !

Have seen ram masks ( well more like heavy fringing) made from baler twine  ;D . make a curtain of frayed twine and tie to rams horns seems to work well.

I think Llugwy Farm make these (sorry - not sure of the spelling).  They also do sheep and goat headcollars and coats and much more     Try that
