Post by: harry on February 08, 2010, 03:37:41 pm
i wonder whos got the most stupid birds..... i threw 6 tomatoes in the turkey pen today and watched as one turkey got stuck into this tomatoe then the other one decided he wanted that one and they chased each other for it stepping on the other 5 tomatoes, it always happens with bread as well ive watched them chase for ages leaving the other stuff on the ground, its funny how they run with big food in the beaks.... by the way all got from the supermarket skip.. tomatoes, bannanas, apples, carrots and a big bag of bread and i left loads of bread and cakes.

Ours are the same.....they chase each other around for plums and apples that have fallen from the trees despite there being loads of them.

I find them really amusing birds at times, the neighbours thought it was hilarious when we had our first lot as they would follow me around all of the time like dogs and if I sat down they'd jump up on my lap!

- even the baby chicks do it - one will grab a bit of shavings and run,  a few of the others will immediately start chasing it around as it dodges and dives about with its prize shaving!  hmm - there are only about a trillion other shavings on the floor ... !

I know many a human with the same condition; it's called always wanting what you can't have ; or haven't got kids are great examples of it as well.
