Title: First triplet!
Post by: waterbuffalofarmer on April 11, 2015, 03:17:43 pm
So first triplet of the year and he is gorgeous, I am bottle feeding him as he's the smaller of the three and not as strong. Lambing is progressing well, all the ewes rearing their lambs well. :) :)

Ah well another triplet came along 3 days ago. Its strange how all the triplets, which are the smallest, happen to be males! ???

My vet said the males are usually the weakest - the Y chromosome being weaker than the X. That's why there are usually more female than male lambs.

Strange but we have had more ram lambs this year than ewe lambs, same with the buff too, more bulls than heifers. :(
