I've got a young duck who has gone broody and she is sitting on an enormous pile of eggs. I don't think there's much chance of her being successful ::)

But God loves a trier :)

A wild duck hatched 12 in my garden a couple of years ago so :fc:  :&> :bouquet:

My ducks have never gone broody, I don't know if it is because I only have girls, but that has never stopped the chickens going broody. Bless her for trying :&>

How much is 'an enormous pile'?
-
Bless her! If she can't cover them all take a few away or none of them will hatch :( :(
-
I think one of Cameron's girls a few years ago hit the record with 13 hatchlings? Maybe even more...

Unfortunately she is between the back of the kennel and the weld mesh fence and I can't get in there. I did try sending a small child in but even the 4 year old didn't fit.
I'm not sure how many eggs she is on but she certainly isn't covering them all

When she comes off to feed try using a fishing net or something to get some out. It's a shame for her to sit for a month then end up with nothing

It made me laugh to think of that tiny child posted into the gap to Save The Ducklings. Brave child
