Title: Getting back into it!
Post by: marklunn3602 on April 08, 2015, 09:00:14 pm
Hi all

I've recently found the site and have to say its great!

I've just started up the hobby again with just a couple of Light Sussex after many years out.
I've no sooner got started than the bug has bitten me and I want to get more free range layers and start selling eggs.

I used to have 60 free range shavers (as well as Bantams & Rhodies) many years ago but have been out of the game for so long everything has changed. ( I had to give up for my career)

I'd like any advice please on a reasonable amount of layers needed to start making a small profit and how people find the best way of selling your eggs.

I'd also like to have a go at hatching to sell the chicks on but would also like some views on this market please.

I have to say its great to get back into it and am looking forward to exchanging views and advice with all on here.

Best regards

Mark
