We are at present looking after a Jack Russell pup, one yr old and in pup!
Some low life threw it from a moving car. Dog warden couldnt find a foster home for her.
Going to be a lively weekend, shes a noisy little madam , our dogs dont know what to make of her :D

Wow, good for you taking her on. There are too many horrible people out there
-
Why couldn't the original owners have found her a home at a rescue. I can't imagine abandoning a dog, let alone throwing it from a moving car. Well done you for taking her in at present.

Unless there was a spectator then i always take such statements with a little salt.
I once had a call from a very angry lady shouting at me for throwing my dog out of the car on the A1 and abandoning it. She had it in her kitchen and was looking after the starving creature.
I had to point out gently that she must be a newcomer to the village and my dog was just doing his morning cadging round while i was up visiting my mum - hence both mobile number and phone number from 50 miles away on his disc. And if she had been in the village any length of time she'd have seen my taking him on his formal walks too.

I expect that the dog warden has already checked for a microchip and found none. That might be the first hint that this little dog's owners are not all that worried about doing the right thing. Dog being already in pup when she's only 12 months old itself might be the second hint.
However she comes to be a stray, very well done you for looking after the little lady. Will she be staying with you until she whelps?

Well done, you :trophy: I hope the little dear whelps safely.

Well OH is getting quite fond of her, it depends how she fares with our dogs over the weekend.
Wouldnt want to stress them or her. She met chickens today really funny, have to keep her on the lead when we take her out.
Wouldnt want her running off.

Well done to you.

Well done you!
Years ago my mum and I drove past a little corgie x sitting at a lane end by the road. We turned round and she was still sitting exactly there. Pouring rain, looked so hopeful at the car. So mum stopped and we called her into the car. I finally thought I'd got my much dreamed of dog! But mum had the dog warden take her away that afternoon and she had pups next day in the kennels. I always imagined someone must have said. "Sit, stay." And then left because she hadnt moved, just watched the passing cars.

Ah thats so sad :'(They trust us and dont ask for much in return. You couldnt get a more loyal friend.
Thats the way of the world unfortunately, some people have no respect for man nor beast !
-
Well, you know don't you that if your OH has fallen for her she is going to stay ;) Hope she gives birth safely and you find the best of homes for her pups.

Well done you!
Hmmm... the OH has been wanting a Jack Russel for a while... ::)
