Hi,
Not been round lately - time just seems to fly by and the sheep and renovation of the house has been a priority.
I've a henny who has been 'lame' for a month. I put her on her own under a lamp with lots of straw around her as she was quite morose.
I though she had spiked her foot as I found two small holes in the bottom of her middle toe, though her foot and leg was hot. She wouldn't put her foot to the ground. I soaked her foot in antiseptic warm water and the two holes produced 'some' pus - not a huge amount. There wasn't any 'scabs'.
I gave her foot a spray of Tetramycine (haven't spelt that right :dunce:) The 'holes' cleared up within a day, her toe is now cold but her pad continued to be swollen and hot. NO SCABS like the bumblefoot images show. Her pad is 'soft' - I can't feel any hard lumps and as said NO SCABS.
She is now eating and drinking and hopping about but won't put her foot to the ground. It's still hot and swollen. Is this Bumble foot or something else.
What can I do/give her to get her right.
Any help/advice would be appreciated
