Title: What hatching eggs have you got ?

Post by: Q on March 14, 2015, 12:05:13 pm: I have Light sussex for the first time this year - Just run the first hatch through the incubator and have 7 out of 10 fertility - first three hatched today. Pm if interested.

Post by: HesterF on March 14, 2015, 09:19:23 pm: In theory buff and gold laced Orpingtons, silver Appleyard and Cayuga ducks and possibly West of England geese. But the crows are nicking all my chicken eggs and I've yet to set any duck or goose eggs so time will tell whether I beat the crows (I have got the first lot of chicken eggs incubating) and how the fertility is looking for all.

Post by: Stereo on March 18, 2015, 06:18:23 pm: Light Sussex(large trad strain), Copper Black Marans (birds in their first year though so eggs a little smaller but I'm hatching from them right now), Exhequer Leghorn, Welsummer and in a short while Ixworth, Lavender Araucana , Cream Legbar (not up to standard, just blue layers, pet quality) and Rhode Red (very good).

Muscovy ducks
Bronze, white and pied turkeys

Japanese quail are hatching fine, the fertility and the egg numbers on the rest is still a bit thin and patchy
