Title: Broody goose
Post by: Carey boy on March 11, 2015, 06:05:21 pm
Hi,
Is there any thing I can do to persuade a goose to go broody?. Have lots of eggs, they just lay and then go off to do other things.  Any help please.

We take all of the eggs ours lay until mid april, then we just leave them with whatever they lay after that and they usually lay seven or eight more and then sit. We've never left them with any eggs this early in the season but I would think they would stop laying and sit when they're ready.

Yes, just give them time. Leaving a few eggs in the nest may also help?
