i have a 7 week old lamb, took him to the vet today as he was severely not well. he was out on good grass with his mother and twin and was doing real well. The vet says hes has meningitis, what causes this?

Bacteria, virus, fungi ..... could be E coli, Klebsiella, salmonella, strep. .... Any wounds or open areas such as the tail, or scrotum if a ram lamb, dropping off? What treatment has your vet recommended?

lamb had no wounds , had an interned eyelid at birth but got that fixed, he was gaining steady weight, tails are done 3 days after birth, he gave an strong antibodic and told use to give alamyicin tomorrow morning, he can still walk and run about but has his neck is real rigid in the way he moves it, if that makes sense?

Hope he's OK :fc:
