Title: Quails in Scotland?
Post by: linzmain on February 18, 2015, 04:06:50 pm
Just wondering if anyone knows of a quail breeder in scotland who i could speak to for advice and possibly buy some from? I am in Dundee, so preferably local but travelling is not an issue.

Japanese quail?

If so, I breed them, I'm not a commercial operation but I usually have a couple of hundred on the go.

I'm in Ayrshire.

If you do get some make sure they are TOTALLY protected from rats etc - I lost all of mine a couple of weeks ago except the oldest - and largest female.  She was crying she was so lost and lonely without her family so I gave her to a friend.  I loved having them and loved the eggs so I'm very sad.  :'( :'( :'(
