I've got my first ever two sheep booked in at the local abattoir tomorrow....having no stock trailer, I'm proposing to take them in our old landrover. I'm worried that getting two sheep into this vehicle could be a bad idea...I don't want them too stressed out...any ideas?

Mmmmm, personally, I'd try and borrow a trailer.
Not sure what the abbatoir will say about two sheep leaping from a landrover?
Have you remembered all your paperwork, you need to do a foodchain certificate now for sheep!

if you turn up with a sheep in the back of your car they will be turned away. also transporting an ill sheep to the slaughter house would be wrong. there animal health person could get very unimpressed. with the injured one you have two choices either the vet or yourself or neighbour with a gun or humane killer. is there no one who will lend or give you a lift with a small trailer.

All sorted, thanks to your advice. have borrowed trailer, vet happy....abattoir happy, sheep happy for now I hope.
