Title: New abattoir for Cupar, Fife
Post by: Rosemary on February 03, 2015, 10:03:18 am
At our RBST Caledonian AGM on Sunday, one of our Fife members announced that a new abattoir doing private kills will open soon in Cupar, Fife. I understand that it's just the licences that need to be finalised. Initially, the abattoir will be killing deer, but its expected to provide a full range of services - sheep, pigs and cattle thereafter.

This is good news for smallholders in the area. We'll certainly be supporting it.

That's brilliant news.  Not closer for me but a much more pleasant drive than going to Wishaw.

Not if you get stuck on the Forth Road Bridge.... or have to divert because of high winds....

Shame it's too far for us. We do need an abattoir in the Borders....
