do you have an anti-biotic spray (My cure-all !)
Is it a deep wound, or just where a horn bud has come off? I dont really understand, if I'm honest, quite what you mean?!!  Is she a horned goat? Ie has lost a whole horn?

Have just read your other post Milly and Molly!
We have a sanaan and a toggie too.
Both were disbudded as kids, ie their horns never grew.  The tog was 2 days old when we had her and had sticky pads applied to prevent the horns growing growing (rather than them being cauterised)  When these came off, there was some blood, but only a little and I sprayed it with anti septic.
Is this like Milly?
(I'm hoping your goats aren't fully horned? If so, make sure you've plenty of antiseptic... for yourself!)

hi, if its just a scurl which has come off, its no big deal. I would put something on it, either antibiotic or blue spray like little blue suggests, or some veterinary wound powder. If you don't have either, and its bleeding, put on cornflour, which is great for stopping bleeding in an emergency. A scurl grows sometimes after a goat has been dehorned. If its just a wee one, chances are it'll get knocked off every so often. Beth
