I just saw a post from someone on facebook that said you can sign up on the Rumenco website for a free lambing kit. The poster has already done this and were showing a pic of what they got.
I haven't checked it out myself as I am not lambing this year but it might be worth a look
-
Good spot, thanks!
Reminds me to go around liking more suppliers pages on the dreaded FB!!
-
I've signed up
-
I saw it on the society facebook page yesterday too Rosemary and have signed up for one. Really looking forward to my parcel arriving :sheep:
-
I've just signed up too.

-

Signed up, thanks  . Anyone know what's in it?
I have just been looking at the pic that was posted on Facebook. I can see a couple of cans of cans of marker. Sheep conditioning drench, multi lamb rapid, lamb kick start, ultra concentrate, a packet of syringes/tubes.
-
Oh excellent, I've bought the lambing kit from Fearing tags aswell. Extra bits and bobs always come in handy
-
 I've also signed the pledge!!
-
Good shout.
I am on the bandwagon.
-
I haven't checked it out myself as I am not lambing this year but it might be worth a look

-
Mine arrived today :excited: really impressed I was expecting a few little sample tubs but everything is full size.
-
How exciting .... waiting for mine :)
-
Waiting patiently too... :eyelashes:
-
Anyone else had one yet? Any chance of a picture of what you got?
-
Still waiting for mine.
I did call in to Carrs Billington at Bakewell yesterday and they have some offers on lambing kit/supplies.
Spend over £50 and get 400g of Bacto col lamb colostrum worth £20 free
Spend over £100 and get a free pair of Seal Flex (by far the best waterproof trousers you can get) worth £40
And if you manage to spend over £200 then you get 10kg shepherdess lamb milk and a Megastart ewe and lamb bucket worth £70 ish free.
Can't imagine my equipment/supplies bill will be over the 200 mark but it will be over the £100 if I treat myself to a shepherdess feeder!
-
Pic below:
-
So excited now. Very sad I know! I hope it arrives before the lambs at end of the month :excited:
-
Waiting patiently for mine to arrive, not lambing until May, I wonder how many people registered for these. I hope they don't run out!
-
having registered just yesterday (thanks for telling us Sally :) ), I too was hoping they don't run out...
-
I only have 7, OK 2 and 5 goats - do you think they'd laugh at me?
-
I sent off for one with 7 sheep. Not arrived yet and I am up to 11 sheep. If it does not come soon I will have finished lambing.
-
Still waiting here too
-
still waiting too!!!!!!! :excited:
-
I only have 7, OK 2 and 5 goats - do you think they'd laugh at me?
No, they're too busy laughing at me! ;D
-
Still waiting as well.
-
Just received an e-mail from Rumenco saying my registration for lamb kit has been received. :fc: :fc: :fc:

Just received an e-mail from Rumenco saying my registration for lamb kit has been received. :fc: :fc: :fc:
When did you fill the form in? I haven't had an email, yet, and I registered well over a week ago >:(
-
Still waiting for mine too
-
Email now received :) Hopefully it will be here for when I start lambing
-
Registered on 20th Jan. A whole bunch of e-mails came out this afternoon...I think we all jumped on the bandwagon at the same time :innocent:
-
Got my email now too
-
got an email as well, think I registered approx 30/31st Jan. I wonder if they expected so many? hope theres something left for me :fc:
-
E-mail woohoo
-
Just had to go check too and yes I've had email too :excited:
-
Does anyone know if the offer is still available as I've clicked on the links above and they just bring me to the rumenco homepage. I don't see anything about a lambing kit? Hope its not over!
-
The offer has gone off the homepage. Looks like you might of missed it.
-
Ah well its not the end of the world lol! Have everything we need but it would be handy to have more for next year :D
-
Emmett, I've just checked and the offer is still on the website. You have to fill out the Registration form. pm me if you have a problem finding it  . good luck with your lambing too.
-
The reg form is still there but it doesn't say anything about getting the lambing kit anymore.
-
Has anyone recieved their kit yet?
-
I haven't. I filled the form in on the day this topic was started.
-
I filled the form in when it said free kit but I haven't had an email so guessing it's not coming :-\
-
I have had the email. I think that they have had a big demand for the kits due to the internet interest.
-
Singed up weeks ago - nothing yet!
-
Or even .......signed up!! Whoops!
-
Hello.
Has anyone received their free rumenco lambing / calving kits?
Are they delivered to your address, or do you pick them up from your supplier?
I had the email on 3rd Feb but no more information to date.
What exactly are free?
-
My lambing kit arrived today. It is fantastic! Well pleased. Sent my form on 23rd Jan and had the email same day as most others on here. 5kg box of goodies sent by UPS couriers. I reckon there's almost £100 worth of free items in the box. Best freebie I have ever had! ;D
-
:excited: now ..... must be on its way!
-
Still nothing for me :( Filled in the form the day the topic was started and got an email on the 3rd of Feb. Hope it comes quickly as we are due to start soon!
-
Just received my parcel!!!! whoop whoop!! Everything I will need, and everything I would have bought!! Very handy!! :excited:
-
Did it come by royal mail or was it sent with a courier. Couriers never seem to find our place. The posties are great and will hide the parcels and leave a note to save all the aggro.
-
UPS. it was only by chance I popped back to the house to get a dry jacket that I bumped into him!! Yep my royal mail man always signs for me and hides in the shed. (the parcel not himself!!)
-
:excited: :excited: its here!!!! .... and WHAT a freebee it is :)
-
Mine has just arrived - off to open it now :excited:
-
Still nothing here, and I signed up the day this post went on (along with everyone else I suspect!).
I got my e-mail but no freebies yet. I'm putting off a lambing shop waiting for it to arrive! :-\
-
I got my email yesterday! Not sure how much longer before it arrives. Must be costing them a fortune! Just hope I haven't finished lambing before it arrives :excited:
-
Mine came yesterday over the moon best freebie ive had being picky but could of done with sone iodine ???? Oo well I can always buy that
-
It's incredible - and all the stuff has Dec 2016 use by dates, so will be fine for next year.
-
I'm waiting in the hope that it arrives, but shall certainly be thankful for whatever is received.
Use by Dec 2016 is well beyond expectations, a brilliant marketing exercise by a well managed PR company, obviously targeting potential customers.
-
I suspected it'd all have long dates on ... they've probably had to manufacture fresh batches just for this promo, given the amount of interest they'd had! Still waiting on mine...
-
I am so pleased I made the original post. Those who have received theirs appear to be very happy
-
At last. Its here. :excited:
-
Anyone else not received their free kit? As there's no one here during the day, maybe UPS has been and gone, but there's certainly no card in the door.
-
We haven't got ours neither has a friend and we both registered the day this post came on, so you are not alone in not receiving it.
-
Mine arrived today - best freebie ever! :excited:
Thankyou Bionic
-
Nothing here...yet...
-
I am so pleased I made the original post. Those who have received theirs appear to be very happy
Yes thanks for letting us all know, much appreciated, certainly got us all going.
Not sure I like all this watching down the lane for the UPS van though :) .
-
I saw a random UPS van the other day and flagged him down. Told him where I lived and where he should put the parcel if I wasn't home. The next day I'd just popped home for some keys and it was him knocking at the door.
-
Got mine today :excited: :excited:
-
Mine came today. Well worth the wait.
The driver left his van at the top of the track and walked down, shouted from the yard gate. Luckily I was in the barn shearing an angora doe and heard him. He wasn't happy about the walk. His van would have been fine cos my son had one the same size but there we go, his choice. Lucky the geese weren't on the track.
-
It's funny you should say that, Dogwalker. I had a phonecall from Mr UPS at lunchtime (very mysterious at the time, since I hadn't ordered anything). He said he didn't know the road, and could I meet him at the junction three miles away - nice try pal, but no!
I said I'd leave a road cone outside the house so he knew when he was at the right place.
He arrived 20 minutes later looking very grumpy - it turns out that the similarly named house half a mile back has its own roadcone too, and if I was going to try that trick again, please could I think of something a little more unique! :roflanim:
-
Mine arrived today- hurrah!!! - can't believe how good it is! Best freebie I've ever had!!!!
-
Still waiting :fc:
-
Got mine last night, excellent :D
-
To whoever started this topic ( I cant remember without scrolling back -think it was Bionic) a huge thankyou. Mine came today and its brilliant. Saves me a fair wad of cash.
-
Got mine just now - brilliant!
Just a few questions please -
Multilamb rapid - I presume this is 'just in case of'?
Sheep conditioning drench - do I use this even if the girls seem OK?
Lamb kick start - do I use this even if they are up and (seem to have) had colostrum?
It's been suggested I use 'lamb kick-start' on the goat kids previously - are other things suitable for the goats as well as the ewes?
Sheep aren't due until late April/May, goats are due first so I usually freeze some colostrum just in case. So hopefully won't need the substitute.
-
All good things come to those who wait
-
Ours arrived today and BH thought I was being economical with the truth when I said it was free
-
I got mine tooo - so pleased as email probably went to junk so I didn't see it - well pleased - a real boost for me - BH hasn't seen me so happy for ages :)
-
For those that got emails, how long before kit arrived?
-
Just out of interest, Did anyone order the calving kit instead.
-
|Brilliant kit, arrived same day as I put out my Lifeline Lamb and Ewe tubs that I purchased from Norvite buy 5 get one free, a bargin, thanks Bionic for letting us all know about the offer. Successful lambing everyone.

-
@Mynydd_Mawr_Herd. I think the free kit offer was removed from the Rumenco website about 2 weeks ago it's just registration for emails now.
-
For those that got emails, how long before kit arrived?
I registered on the 30th, email Feb 3rd, delivered yesterday (20th)
-
They have an offer on now to win a tonne of lick buckets.

-
They have an offer on now to win a tonne of lick buckets.
But they already sent me a lifetime's supply of vitamin drench. I hardly need twelvety years worth of licky buckets as well! ;D
-
Thanks snowy river, thought it was my eyesight!
-
But they already sent me a lifetime's supply of vitamin drench. ;D
You're very fortunate Womble, share them with your friends and neighbours.
-
Don't panic. I thought the same so I emailed a reply to the email address i got from them. [email protected]
She replied pretty quick and needed my name and address to check the order details. so if you include that with a message just asking why you haven't got one yet she'll be able to check quicker.
-
Don't panic.
I'm not panicking, just stating facts.
If the use by date is as has been reported here, they'll come in very handy next year, we're already prepared for this year now. The fun begins this weekend.
It's a free gift, so I won't be emailing anyone asking where it is, but had I paid for it, there would have been some ear bashing by now!
-
Must have missed the email, but my calving pack arrived today, nice surprise ????
-

Just recommended this offer to a friend but no sign of it now on the website. :( However there are a couple of other 'prize draw' type things for cow stuff. I'll post that on the cattle thread. :)
