Just been outside to get the daily horse chores done, walked past the pigs for haylage to find the gilt WITH 6 LITTLE PIGLETS!
What a wonderful suprise! I ran and phoned the OH, we didnt no when she was due? She was still in wiv 2 other gilts and a sow so i quickly shunted the others in to a stable out of the way, got her some food etc and there were now 7!
Seems to be all as the afterbirth was being pushed out, i quietly watched them all ponder round to suckle, it was lovely!

How lovely. We're waiting on our gilt giving birth over the next few days as she's due on friday. We'll have to be vigilant though as the weather is forecasted to turn bad here in Bulgaria this week unfortunately!

Was also very pleased she was calm and quiet!! shes really young too, we got a few of them cheap as 15-17 week olders, didnt no she had been covered so was probably accidently mated on her first season! hence cheapness! ::)
Oh well, she and piglets are all fine, only thing is cant find my ruddy camera!
Im also hoping one day early march i wake up to find my filly has a healthy foal at foot!? :P just so i dont have to wait and get nervous and panicy!?
