Title: Life,pigs and problems
Post by: Basil on December 23, 2014, 04:07:43 am
Okay, sometime ago my partner and I wen't our separate ways and she kept hold of our small herd of pigs. I have come back for the holidays and found to my dismay that things have got out of hand. To a point that the ground has been over grazed and fencing and such has been let down. Now I know people may frown as I'm not asking for money but I am looking for good homes for 12 wild bore x large white piglets and a home for a wild bore sow that has just has 7 x large white piglets. I will be selling the rest of the stock asap but getting these piglets gone to good homes would be a good start. We are based in the Td11 post code. Any help or advice would be appreciated
Not the situation that I wanted to have on my plate, but life is set to try us

No, she,s very lovely but a little shy and took me around 6 weeks to properly handle her but I don't think she had much contact before hand. My 9 year old is happy to give all our pigs including the large white boar tho he is very food orented.

Yes if they're pure bred. No if they're crossed with a domestic pig.

Sorry to miss lead. he must be a cross as I've had no problems registering her with animal health or trading standards. She is a very nice natured pig.

Hi, I might be able to take some weaners, but I'd like to have a look at them. I'm in Galashiels, could I come over some time in the next few days?

You could try a dealer I suppose..... Or advertise em in the farmers guardian, also preloved, farmingads and petbuy.com, vivastreet, fridayads, gumtree and petlist. Hope this helps.
