Title: Piglet heater
Post by: Button End Beasts on December 07, 2014, 06:00:18 pm
I think we have acidentally found a way to keep our piglets really warm. We have a propane powered heater for our piglets but the OH is so mean he keeps turning it off in the day. This afternoon I went in to the birthing shed to check up on them and found them all cuddled up under an old sheepskin. It was really toasty under there and they all looked so snug and cosy, little cuties ;D

So if you have a creep area and an old sheepskin (ours was aa failed attempt at home tanning) bung it down for the little ones to cosy up under!

Watch out - they'll start trying to eat it soon.

Oh yes, they are now flinging it about all over the place, along with some empty feed bags they stole!
