Hello everybody!
Been reading this forum for several months since I acquired some land at a very reasonable rent with pretty much a lifetime guarantee of tenancy.
Found the advice on here amazing, amusing and really interesting.
Me and my partner (getting married next year :excited:) are just getting the land ready as it has been a bit neglected for a couple of years and are about to start erecting fences and runs for a couple of pigs and some chickens. The best advice I've read is not to take on too much at once, so I'm going to work on a 3-5 year plan to get everything up and running.
Should be mortgage free by the summer so hope to be able to work part time over the summer (I'm a builder and Landscape Gardener) and am really looking forward to working towards 'the good life' :)
Look forward to being a regular reader and commentator on these pages!

Your situation sounds great. And as you say, don't take on too much at once.

Thank you everybody for the warm welcome :) !
I'm in the beautiful Stroud Valleys of Gloucestershire and my land is on the outskirts of Bisley.
Had a good look at the field today and reckon I can get another 150sq metres out of it once the hedges and trees are cut back
