Fantastic news Julie  ;D and congratulations to Ellen  ;)
I'm so glad you got your boiler fixed too - nothing worse than being colder inside the house than out !

				Happy Xmas what a present.

-
Look at the size of them, they are lovey. Merry Christmas.

-
If you send them to slaughter at Easter maybe they'll come back to life 3 days later!  Twice the pork!!......Sorry ;)

Hmmm - quite funny  ;D ;D ;D but is that not sacrilege? ::)

Well its sacrifice for the pigs.

				Thank you everyone   :)

The piglets are doing well.  Unfortunately lost one of the 13.......but 12 is still good for a first time Mum, so very happy.

Sexed the first litter yesterday......7 girls and 2 boys.
 :pig:

Thought you might like to see a couple of the younger ones saying hello to one of the older ones in the snow this morning.

				Awwwww Julie - they're beautiful  ;D ;D ;D
 Thanks for the photo  ;)

				Thank you Karen  :)

I'm spending far too much time watching and taking pictures  :pig:
-
				Ahhh lovely!  :pig:

Aah, they are lovely. Are you please with the gender mix? I find it hard to slaughter anything female but generally have no problem with males (Dickie excepted).

I know what you mean Rosemary, I'm like that too.  I'm not sure exactly why we feel like that.

In this case 5 of the gilts of this litter are looking very nice, and good enough to register, so I will probably keep one for myself and I have someone interested in the others.

The bigger litter I will wait to see how they look in a few weeks, but I will need to keep a good number of the ones not good enough to register to make sure I have enough meat later in the year.
