one thing the white snow has shown up ... ive found a few blood spots ????????????
-
Pecked comb maybe? Cockerel been fervent with his attentions? Happened to one of mine and she was rallying till it got extremely cold and she lay too close to the door with very little straw round her one night and perished.

Could one of them ragged a nail, or cut a foot?
It dosn't sound to sinister if it is only a few spots, but i would check them just the same

I found some blood in the snow - turned out to be the remains of the cats breakfast mouse which the chooks ate for their lunch ugh!
-
got mostly white birds cant see any blood on them, will keep looking, it was near some droppings but that could happen by chance
-
I found a trail of blood where the hens had been, today, in the snow. I tried to look which one was losing blood, but with such a lot of hens, its not easy. I assume its one who has caught a claw.

pehaps it happens with layers and we done notice it untill snow, nothings dead yet

If none of them are looking poorly I shouldn't worry.
