Post by: dixie on December 21, 2009, 07:09:25 pm
THANKS TO ALL THAT HELPED, SHE NOW HAS ENOUGH FOR HER TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT, THANKS SO MUCH!Hi all, my daughter is a psychology student at Portsmouth University and is currently studying whether fear of certain animals is innate or learned through experience, she needs a few more questionnaires to be completed if anyone would be kind enough we would be most grateful, no personal details are required apart from name,(dont have to give real name!) date and a list of simple questions where you tick an answer, if you are able to help please email [email protected]
and she will email you the questionnaire, thank you very much ;D

is it abot rational or irrational fears? i.e. I'm pretty wary of lions  - because they will eat me, i'd say that's a rational fear, but some people are scared of house spiders - despite the fact they'll do you no harm at all - even if you eat one!!!

Its 3 sheets, theres a list of animals/insects and you rate how ugly/harmful/afraid of each one on a score from 1 to 5.

I'd be no use to her - I'm not scared of anything.

I remember watching a programme about anacondas and it gave me and my OH nightmares......anyway..I am only up as I am sleeping with the pups ;)

I suppose there might be a lot of things I am afraid of if I came face to face with them, but my imagination doesn't let me get scared of things that may never happen

It's easy - sign a bit of paper, scan it into your pc, (if you don't have a scanner use someone else's  ;) ) save it as a jpeg (photo), then on a Word document insert it as a photo.

They'd need a lot more information than my signature on a students questionnaire, and it would still be available if it was handwritten on..

Dont worry my daughters no scammer! it was only for her to see, the signature was only required to say you accepted taking part, nothing nasty will happen honest!

Sorry, I absolutely did not mean to imply anything Dixie, about your daughters possibility of scamming!
I just meant that if people start scanning their signatures, be careful where you send it!
I dont even sign my bank card, in case I loose it or it gets stolen. (Chip and pin means theres no point anyway...)

But if you don't sign your bank card, and someone else steals it- then THEY can sign your card for you. And they can use it as ID. There's no reason not to sign it because of chip and pin, they need your PIN number to do any transactions in person, and if they do a transaction by phone or online, they have all they need on the card anyway!

Besides which, if you read the terms and conditions, your card is actually invalid if you don't sign it, and technically you could not be refunded for fraud on it if you hadn't signed it.
